Welcome to Coffee 101, the first lesson in ALL ABOUT COFFEE UNIVERSITY!

Whether you're a lifelong coffee lover, someone who is just beginning to explore the world of coffee, or you're simply curious about what makes one cup taste different from another, you're in the right place.

You may think you already know coffee. After all, you drink it, you smell it, you taste it, and you probably have your favorite way of making it. But there is so much more to coffee than what you find in your cup!

Have you ever wondered where coffee actually comes from? What makes one coffee taste smooth while another tastes bold? Why are some coffees fruity, chocolatey, nutty, or floral? What's the difference between Arabica and Robusta? Why does the roast matter? And what exactly makes a cup of coffee great?

We're going to explore all of that—and so much more.

Throughout ALL ABOUT COFFEE UNIVERSITY, we'll take you on a journey from the coffee farm to your favorite cup. You'll learn about coffee beans, growing regions, harvesting, processing, roasting, grinding, brewing, flavor, freshness, and the many different ways people enjoy coffee around the world.

And don't worry—you don't need to be a coffee expert to be here. Coffee 101 is for everyone.

Think of this as your starting point. We'll begin with the basics and build from there, one lesson at a time. Some lessons may teach you something you already knew, while others may have you thinking, “I never knew that about coffee!”
